Celebrating Love: Devon and Nate’s Beautiful Rainy Wedding Day in Central California

If you’ve ever planned an outdoor wedding, you know that weather can be a wild card, and this day was no exception—yep, it rained! But guess what? Instead of letting the weather dampen their spirits, Devon and Nate fully embraced it, making for some truly beautiful and magical moments.

Rain, Love, and Laughter

When I arrived at Forest At Haven Hill in Exeter, California the charming venue was alive with energy despite the gray skies. Everyone was in high spirits, and the love in the air was palpable. With expert planning and coordination from Evergreen Events, everything flowed perfectly—rain and all!

As the day progressed, the rain started pouring, but Devon and Nate took it in stride. They were determined to have their dream wedding, and they celebrated their love with joyous laughter and heartfelt moments. You could just feel the connection between them and their loved ones.

My Documentary Photography Style

As a documentary photographer, my approach is all about capturing those raw, unfiltered moments in the most authentic way possible. I focus on being a quiet observer rather than a staged director, allowing genuine emotions and interactions to unfold naturally. For Devon and Nate, that meant zero pressure to pose or perform—just love, laughter, and real moments.

Even with the rain, the couple took advantage of the elements. We stepped outside for some stunning portraits where the rain-soaked flowers and umbrellas created an incredibly romantic backdrop. Those shots turned out to be some of my favorites, showcasing their love in a way that was unique and powerful.

And let’s not forget about the music! Level Up DJ’s had everyone dancing despite the drizzle, creating an atmosphere filled with joy and celebration.
